I would be surprised if they are actually open by then, as there doesn't seem to be a lot going on, according to reports. But we'll see.. Maybe they can make a go of it, as that property sure has gone through a bunch of different names..

Where the Riu was (and so many places before) in Anse Marcel.

Will never be staying there...let your own conscience guide you to the correct course of action. There is only one so it should be easy.

Not sure why but I have a mental block where this particular property is concerned. I remember L’Habitation at the top of the hill and I remember the names RIU and Radisson but would someone please remind me AGAIN what it was called before these names? I remember so vividly walking through the open air atrium there and thinking how very beautiful it was while at the same time, thinking how much I would not have wanted to be in such a totally remote area, as beautiful as it was.

At the opposite end of the Anse Marcel Beach from the high-end restaurant/bar.

And the name of the first hotel there before Radisson and then RIU was?

That's right. I remember it being Le Meridian back around 1999?

And for years before that as well. It was so very beautiful there.

I remember the Le and La and that they are the equivalent of the English word ‘the’ but it’s distinguishing which proper noun is which that causes me the problems. I can’t think in terms of a door being feminine but a dog being masculine. And besides which, it’s been waaaay too many years since I aced my NY high school French III regents exam. 😄😄

It looks beautiful, but I remember just a couple of years ago, my neighbors's son stayed there, on their honeymoon, and didn't see
much of SXM at all. (No wise remarks--lol)
