Covid-19 Update - St. Maarten
Government has decided that the following services may remain open until 6pm Monday to Saturday as of Monday, March 23, 2020:
Grocery stores
Pharmacies
Gas stations
Banks
Emergency and paramedic services
Hotels
Restaurants
Essential government services: telecommunications and post, judicial and utilities
Public transportation
Hardware stores
Shipping and cargo companies
The above must observe social distancing and allow groups of no more than 20 persons at a time. If not adhered to, the businesses will be shut down by government with immediate effect.
For Sundays for the next two weeks, besides emergency services, only gas stations, pharmacies, hotels with attached amenities for guests only and newspapers will be allowed to open until 6pm.
No beach vending allowed until further notice.
No beach parties are allowed.
No group of more than five persons is allowed on the beach.
After today, Sunday, no airline will bring in residents of St. Maarten or anyone else to the country for the next two weeks. The only flights that will be coming into the airport are cargo flights or flights to pick up passengers to return them to their home destination.
