We are happy to see our long time friend working back at Le String at Orient Beach. Jean spent many years at Le String before moving to Dreams and Rainbow.
His welcoming smile is good to see again on Orient. He introduced us to so many people on the beach that are great friends. He is one of the reasons we fell in love with the island over 20 years ago.

Thanks for the note. What exactly is open on Orient now, on the beach??

On the south end of the beach, Orange, Sun Beach, Chez Leandra and Le String are open. Aloha has not rebuilt. Pirate (Ethic) has a building but is tired up in litigation. Someone was putting chairs at Brothers but there is no building or services.

Heading north, Kon Tiki, Wai Plage, Bikini, La Playa, KKO, and Coco, are also open. Wai Plage is where KKO was, and KKO is where Waikiki was. Waikiki did not reopen.

Thanks for the update. So happy to hear that Jean is back at Le String. That was our go-to beach spot and Jean always made us feel welcome. He would always ask us what days we were coming to the beach and would try to save us a good location. We had some very happy days on Orient at Le String, including some great lunches.
