Mario's

Mario's - 03/14/2021 09:55 PM

Our anniversary dinner was at Mario's. Small, intimate, romantic. At first I didn't like the new decor, all glass chrome and black but under candlelight it comes alive. A table for two near the railing. Had to strain to see the sunset but beautiful anyway. Three tables occupied until we left. Hope he had more late reservations after we left Conversation with him and he claims he's happy to only have several plates to plan now that the new place is smaller. He chuckled and said it was nearing time to retire.

We both started with caesar salad. Hubby had pork and I had lamb chop washed down with a bottle of Chateau Neuf de Pape. Everything cooked to perfection, presented well. Great attentive service. We skipped dessert. Prices are up somewhat but I suppose with less tables profit has to come from somewhere.

It does seem really small, versus the old restaurant.

Happy anniversary and welcome home, I suppose!!
