Entering Covid test results on EHAS? - 06/01/2021 05:24 PM

Did anyone have problems entering test results on EHAS? How was it done?. I expect to have results via email.

test results are submitted to EHAS by uploading a file, we've always uploaded a PDF file...so if all you have is a simple email with the results in the body of the message, you can save/print the email to PDF, then upload that...but with all our tests (7-8 now), we've always received either an official PDF results document attached to the email from the lab, or a link to where the official PDF results document can be downloaded...this would be the PDF file we upload to EHAS

Thank you. I got results from Walgreens with PDF link.

I received a file I could download, but it wasn't a PDF. So I made it a PDF (and did the same for my vaccination card, which is now also asked for) and loaded both PDFs from my desktop to the EHAS site.

Are they asking for proof of vaccine or just a question?

Ho far in advance did you get the test? I find this whole thing confusing.

They are now asking for proof of vaccination and take a picture of and upload it on their site. DO NOT LOAD UP A LINK OF THE PDF FILE ONTO THE EHAS WEBSITE, IT WILL GET DEINED.

Tested Tuesday for Saturday departure. 5 days including day of departure.

Proof. So I uploaded two docs: my test, and my vax card.

I had the test on the day on which the 120th hour occurred: Monday (Memorial Day!) for a Saturday flight. My test was at 2:30 PM on Monday. Received test results Wednesday AM around 12:30 AM. Uploaded everything to EHAS by 1:30 AM and went to bed. When I got up, I had received pre-approval at 4:30 AM. It actually was pretty easy, but it doesn't feel that carefree when you are waiting for your test and/or your approval.

You will want to save the PDF to your desktop and upload it from your desktop. Entering a link to the PDF in the EHAS site won't work.

I don't understand the need to show evidence of a negative test AND a completed vaccination record.....it should be one OR the other (I know the vaccine card is not a go yet) . Sounds like it would be easier to say you didn't get the vaccine and just submit the test results.

I think the Vax card upload has just been added in preparation for the upcoming change where no test will be needed if you have the card

That makes sense but presently not worth the potential issue of being denied because they didn't like the upload....

I have my card in pdf form ....ready and waiting.....

Thank you for that reply. Now I think I need our test on Monday to fly on Friday. I'm guessing Walgreens test will do. I will call them. Also, CVS. Do enjoy your trip. Starting to count the days. The 25th can't get here soon enough!!!

Bluesfan--incorrect.. If your test is at noon on Monday, 24 hours is noon on Tuesday, 48 hours is noon on Wednesday, 72 hours is noon on Thursday, 96 hours is noon on Friday and 120 hours is noon on Saturday. So, if you test at noon on Monday, and your last flight leaves the US bound for SXM before noon on Saturday, then the test is timely.

Actually, it makes complete sense if you take into account the cruises that start this weekend. Everyone taking the cruise, both passengers and ship personnel, need to be fully vaccinated so they need proof of that, hence the card upload. SXM still has the requirement that all arriving passengers must supply a negative PCR test result before receiving pre-approval for entering the country, hence the need for a negative test result. Airlines are checking for the negative PCR test results before they allow passengers flying to SXM to board, it will be interesting if they start asking for verification of vaccination.

I just assumed that everyone arriving at PJIA everyday of the week were not all there to take a cruise. The vaccine docs should be the cruise company responsibility and not airport personnel . So my opinion is different...it has no purpose at PJIA RIGHT NOW.

I’m sure it has zero to do with the cruise lines - what the cruise line requires will
Be uploaded via their portal. I’m sure they are running numbers/stats to see how many are vaccinated and it will help them
To decide when they can safely life the testing if vaccinated.

Carol:

Criteria is now 5 days probably because figuring out 120 hours was too difficult. If flight is delayed a few hours you would be beyond 120 hours. I would not want to risk it.

Note: "quote" function did not work.

bluesfan--The OFFICIAL rule is still 120 hours, according to the official SXM website. Link

Correct. Within 120 hours OR within 48 hours depending on the test. Not 5 days. It’s within 3 days re entering the USA.

It really was not a big deal to upload two docs instead of one.

Was that the ID NOW test? How long did it take to get back.

Kim you are correct. Had our test today, for a flight out tomorrow. Very easy, no wait, in and out! Not sure why folks don’t get this. We have a funny story about our trust and a lot of enlightenment, but will not post. Don’t want to be shamed. It’s all good.

That would have been my Plan B had Plan A not worked. If there's a glitch with the antigen test 48 hours out, you are SOL.
