Well, we both got our PCR tests on Saturday. 2:30 pm

Fly out Tuesday. The connecting flight departs 10:55am

Separate emails to submit the EHAS. Both are fully vaxxed PLUS boosters.

I was approved entry.
Husband was denied. Said, "not within the 72 hour period".

Same tests, same time, everything.

They also DID charge the $15 each for COVID insurance despite saying that it would only be charged if you were approved.

To say that I am angry is an understatement.

Call them and see what they say and then reapply with Andre’s application, Leona. I’ve binderdundat. Twice.

Are you saying you were charged for him and his application was denied?

Usually the charge doesn't go through till final approval then insurance is notified to process the charges.

For our trip in June, I had screwed up and submitted a request for clearance twice, and I thought I would be charged twice, and was not.

Correct. You're not charged till approval from EHAS. Then notice is sent to charge card.

When you submit your application to EHAS, a pre-authorization / charge hold is placed against your credit card for the amount of the insurance. This will show in your online banking as a pending charge. If your application is approved than an actual charge is placed against your card and the pre-authorization is released. If the pre-approval of your EHAS application doesn't happen than the your pre-authorization will be released.

Similar to using your credit card at the gas pump, when the pump accepts your card, it is doing a pre-authorization for the maximum amount the pump is allowed to charge, usually $75. At that point it is freezing $75 of your credit pending the finalization of your transaction. When you pump $45 in to your gas tank and finish by hanging up the nozzle, your card is charged for the $45 and the pre-authorization of $75 is released. A similar thing happens when you rent a car and they take that extra deposit, it's a pre-authorization that freezes that amount on your credit card.

Resubmit you won’t be charged again. System acknowledges you’ve paid. Happened to us this trip and in March when David was denied. This trip I added embark airport incorrect and while approved for David we resubmitted to correct airport and again was pre approved. The insurance screen will appear that you’ve paid.

Well, after a very stressful and contentious night with my spouse, and the past 4 1/2 hours trying to get this cleared up, we are set to go. All approvals completed and approved.

OMG! We did everything right. It was either Walgreens or Labcorp that made the SNAFU. A clerical error on the collection date made it 10/22 and not 10/23 which is when we both took ours, sitting in the dang car together at the Walgreens drive-through.

What a nightmare, and now I still need to do laundry, pack, get the house and cats ready. Zero energy at this point.

Car comes at 4am. Shoot me.
