casino - 01/16/2022 02:00 AM

I'm not a gambler at all, but I'm thinking about planning a trip with my Mom and Aunt who like slots. What are the best/recommended casinos?

Thanks!

There are many on the island.
Which area are you staying in?

i haven't gotten that far. I always rent a car, so location doesn't really matter.

In Simpson Bay on Billy Folly Rd near the Simpson Bay Resort there is the Hollywood Casino. Probably the largest would be Casino Royale in Maho across from the Sonesta Resort. If you stay at the Sonesta, it's an easy walk across the street in the afternoon or anytime at night. I'm not in the casinos much but those would be the two I would suggest.

I would stay in those areas. Lots of restaurants in those areas too.

As Phil said, Casino Royale is probably the largest. Our favorite is Hollywood at Simpson Bay Resort. if you're staying on the French side, Princess Casino at Port de Plaisance is the closest to the French side and one of the largest on island. We don't play slots at all, just tables, but those three seem to be the busiest on island overall.

we’ve been to them all, and as far as we’re concerned, Princess Casino is our favorite…lots of slots, and there are a few restaurants on the property (Asian place is pretty decent)…also, if it’s a concern to you, manned security gate driving into and out of the property/resort

The original poster is looking for slots, so they should be OK, but my understanding is that the Dunes is ONLY slots? Is that still correct?

In November only slots. The electronic roulette wheel/machines were all shut down. We never received an answer as to why nor when they would reopen fry m any staff we asked.
