Cupecoy/Jordan Village on Sunday? - 03/27/2022 01:17 AM

We are getting kicked out of villa tomorrow for housekeeping to do their thing from 9 to 5. So I was wondering if there is anything interesting going on there on Sunday?
Thanks

If I was kicked out of where I was staying for a day: Go find a nice leisurely breakfast, followed by a couple hours at a beach, and finally, find a sports bar to watch the March Madness basketball tournaments in the mid-afternoon.

Definitely Rendezvous at Porto Cupecoy

Serversl restaurants in that plaza so you don’t have to commit to Rendezvous. You could stop for a drink only or eat.

We’ll look for you there.

You have to be out the entire period from 9 to 5?? That seems pretty excessive to me. Not sure I would accept that. You pay for the entire week, not just 6 days. We have had maids come clean our villas at several different places, and they just worked around us.

That said, the jazz at Rendezvous Lounge sounds lovely, for at least the afternoon. Haven't done it myself, but maybe next trip!

I thought it was excessive also and have in the past hung out at the pool on various islands and often return to the room for another cold one while they were cleaning. The note said that the staff are not allowed to be in the room at the same time due to covid protocols.

I'm sorry that's just not acceptable. I would have challenged them on that. We were in a villa last October and we stayed right there when the maid cleaned. Most of the time we were outside when she was cleaning, but there was never anything said about us being there, one way or another. And frankly it doesn't take 9 to 5 to clean a villa.

That’s weird. Where was this? Agree with Carol sometimes we leave because we had already planned to but most times we stay right there or move to the lanai or beach.

Talk to the maids as their station is just next to your unit at base of stairs. Takes them only a little over an hour to do everything. Last May, during the covid protocol, they would tell us when they were going to need us gone but still allowed us to come and go from Villa if we needed something. Wasn't that big of deal to them.

I can only speak for BSV and RICLP but in neither place we’re we ever asked to vacate our unit, and certainly not for a day, and in fact, at BSV the few mornings we’ve been there when the maids come we generally either go to the pool or out to our lanai and when they come out there to sweep we step down to the beach. They’re great and it’s never a problem.😊😊

Yes. The same unit we own in July we never use.
