Covid? - 02/11/2023 03:24 PM

We are arriving next and are wondering about the Covid situation on island now. We were there in July. We were completely vaccinated and took precautions, but we got Covid and were sick for a week of the vacation. Thoughts?

Still around. No different than home. Just take same precautions like at home.

pburke--Did you mask on the plane and in airports?? I think that is the best thing you can do, after vaccinations.

Yes, we masked from the time we dropped off the car, through three airports, two planes and until we were in our rental car. Can’t figure where we got it! No masks on beach or in open air restaurants.

July was a "lucky" Covid month for us too -- we had three of the five in our group come home with an extra souvenir! Luckily just cold like symptoms. If I remember correctly, we wore masks on the plane. As pburke40 said, no masks on the beach or in open air restaurants. A few of us did go to the casinos and were there without masks. That may have been where we lost more than just our cash.

Based upon the latest research results on the effectiveness of masks. It doesn't matter if you are masked!

Seriously? It does matter. Believe what you like but stop saying research does not say that masks are effective. The plural of anecdote is not data.
