Today's flight to Sxm was diverted, while en route, back to Amsterdam,
due to technical issue. Safely landed back in Ams.

My friend’s mother was on that flight. Apparently one of the engines was losing oil. Good decision to go back.

Yes, of course, good decision. Hopefully they will be able to get those outbound folks on another flight shortly.

And I always forget which way it goes, but I think it would be like 5 hours later, Amsterdam time?

I suppose the good news is that they will probably go through arrival quickly.

Yes and will startle our Baby Zion in the middle of his sleep , prayers for us him and Mom and dad , but he will be okay !

Finally landed at 9:36 PM last night.
My friend was out of the terminal by 10:15 PM.
The lesson learned for good arrivals, arrive very late in the evening 🙄
