Marigot traffic this afternoon

Marigot traffic this afternoon - 02/13/2024 09:19 AM

We're on the 3:08 AA flight and pass through Marigot on our way to GCBC. As they are having Mardi Gras celebrations tonight are you aware of any closures/detours. My plan is to go around rather than through town, and having lots of patience. It looks like the Amsterdam and Paris flights land right before us.

It looks like it could be a huge mess, also 3 large cruise ships are in port today, including the ICON of the Seas, largest ship in the world.

This indicates at 2pm the parade will occur in Marigot.

If the parade is this afternoon, then I would suggest you go the whole other way, through Orleans.

He was asking about Marigot, not Grand Case, and I'm not sure whether he really means MARDI GRAS, which is not the same thing as the festival in Grand Case. I can't remember the real name of the one in Grand Case, but it's not called Mardi Gras.

lcote--that's the old name for it.

Mikel--bingo! I don't know why, but I have a mental block about that name.
