Anyway, for this one, both pictures are the same country, and I'm going for the name of the country.

No, I used to watch a webcam called Pete's Pond that was in Botswana and that first photo reminded me of it.

This one will be easy for somebody I bet.

Fran--good deal! That bird is called an African Fish Eagle, very similar to our bald eagle. The below picture, if I was really good with photo editing, I would clone the end of his wing, so this would be a perfect picture, but I think it's a decent pic as is. I waited about half an hour for the bird to take wing, so I could get a picture of him flying.

That one I'm guessing is somewhere in the southern US, WAG South Carolina.

Fran--how about Pensacola?

I may send that second pic to my buddy Tom B and see if he is able to photoshop it for me. If I could have gotten the tip of his wing in, I think it would have been close to perfect.

No. not Pensacola, but you're closer.

I think your photo looks more natural as is but that's just me. There's something to be said about things that are not quite perfect.

We live next door to 2000 Acre State Park that has the largest eagle roost on the east coast.
We love watching them hunt our pond. I have yet to catch them snagging a fish with a photo, but have seen it several times

jphart, you're up. It is the Sanibel Light. One of our favorite places to visit in FL and where we honeymooned almost 40 years ago.

Just a quick FYI Captiva and Sanibel are two separate islands. Sanibel is/was considered one of the top 3 places in the world for shelling.

TomB, yup on the port on the way to Stepses. But we stopped on the way back to Piraeus.
The city quay can be quite congested. We were first on the boardwalk on our cat, by dark it was three boats deep. When we left the next day our anchor was fouled. Bummer, but we got it off.

A famous Italian actress said it was “one of the most beautiful places in the world” (No googling allowed yet)

I will answer question two just to blow you away...
The murals are made from cigar bands... In fact 11.5 million of them.
Following WWII cigars became available again this gentleman started gluing the bands together to make these amazing walls in his house.
Later the walls were transferred to this town's museum.

Well, a strict guess is Utrecht and I have no idea where it is relative to AMS.

This town as I said earlier usually on the day trip circuit from Amsterdam.
On the sea and beautiful.
The town does have a small museum you pass as you walk into town that has the cigar rooms, and wonderful collection of traditional clothing, and great collection of stuff from the Dutch resistance

I used these pics so next time one is in Amsterdam and take the day trip they will stop by the museum

Not even getting a guess based on this edifice, so I'll try another picture. This one is my first attempt using Paint and I don't know if I painted everything or if it can be undone by viewers.

Hmmm - we saw the boat from the movie, Key Largo, in Islamorada several years ago. It was made by the same builder as Hemingway's boat but looks a little different. But the other photos don't look like Islamorada so I don't think that's correct.

Is Hemingway's actual boat in Cuba?

Swlfty, I asked for a city/ town but I consider Cuba close enough. Yes, the boat is at his house in Cuba in the outskirts of Havana. You are up.

There were several boats in the Keys allegedly in the movie, including one in the now closed Ziggys in Islamorada. A great place where the menus were all verbal and the food fantastic!

I've been there and on mostly sunny days that color is reflected in the cloud base. Unfortunately, I can't think of the island chain.

The shot is from Tilloo Banks in Abaco. It's a very large sandbar that can be just five feet at low tide. As you approach, the water looks like it is lit from below. I love the contrast in this picture of the brightness of the water color against the steel gray clouds from the approaching storm, punctuated by the white sails of the boat in the distance.

Honeymooned on Cozumel 40+ years ago! Learned from multiple cruise stops that it is best to rent a Jeep at the international cruise pier and circuit the island. You can’t get lost, just keep the water on your right, stop at the beach bars and avoid the tourists in San Miguel.

OK, here is one to start and I'm looking for the name of the city/town.

While I can't see anything identifying in the image, I'm a fan of Zydeco so with the squeeze-box and washboard I'm going to have guess New Orleans.

Scratch that guess - I saw the "River Island" store and made the mistaken assumption that they exist in the USA, but I believe that the they don't. Add in the cobblestones and the backpacker I'll amend my guess to Dublin. I worked there for a bit and loved it - despite the weather. I not only tried the James Joyce new-bar-every-night-for-Guinness but learned to how to correctly spell and pronounce "Siobhán" while there

Ok, so what appears to be European coat of arms on flags, that big metal thing left over from WWII, what’s left of the front of a building that was probably bombed, a lot of people waiting for something, and I still have no clue!

The metal object looks like a sculpture of some sort, perhaps a memorial considering the apparently bombed out building wall. I've seen things like that in England. Plymouth?
