For those who have run out pictures, here is another game to stretch the old traveling brain.
Just like the picture game… Google knows all answers so please try to avoid the temptation. Hints will be given if needed and after 18 hours in there are no correct answer the game is opened to web searches.
Pictures may be used as part of the question if you so desire.
The question can be about anywhere in the world.
The person who gets the question correct in its entirety will post the next question.
Good Luck
Question #1
Name the countries in on the continent of Europe that drive on the left side of the road?
Tom--Can you tell us how many correct answers there are?
England drives on the left hand side, but they are not on the continent of Europe??
Love it Carol! The lawyer lives! I will drop the word continent and just say Europe.
Of which the UN identifies 44 countries in Europe - Now the twist...
England is not one of the countries.
To answer your question - more than one but less than 10

Sleepychef - 0 would not be correct
OK, I get confused, is the country the United Kingdom then?
Carol - You got the first one
Sleepychef is correct!
Question #2 is all yours
Ah ha! That's why Sleepychef said zero. They are all islands. There's more than one lawyer in the house, apparently!
where is the worlds 3rd highest waterfall ?
Ah ha! That's why Sleepychef said zero. They are all islands. There's more than one lawyer in the house, apparently!

Madam Counselor... being an island does not preclude you being a country... Or even an continent
I am going to guess it is south of the equator... would I be correct?
Tom--but is an ISLAND located on a CONTINENT, unless it is it's own continent?? I think not.
Carol, I believe Angel Falls is THE tallest in the world. For third tallest I will guess Switzerland. But I cannot remember the name.
right country and the name is ridiculous so Mattenbachfalle forget about ityou are up ndfaninnc
ndfan--Ha. Shows you what I know!!
Okay, we know most of the world's longest bridges are in China. Which is the longest in the United States?
Chesapeake Bay tunnel and bridge?
it is 20 + miles long
what type of bridge? causeway?
Chesapeake Bay tunnel and bridge?
it is 20 + miles long
Since it is technically two tunnels and three bridges I don't know for sure if it qualifies as the longest 'bridge'. I think there might be one longer. Of course i could be wrong.
Lake Pontchartrain Bridge?
I think the longest suspension span in the U.S. is still the Verrazzano, but I'm not sure if that's what you're asking.
Dan
I think XRay is correct as a.single bridge crossing a body of water.
Sorry for the delay. Customer Christmas dinner. No Tom. Not Chesapeake Bay.
Sorry everyone. I answered last night from my phone. I missed Adrian’s response and he is correct. Lake Pontchartrain Causeway is correct. You are up sir!
Love it Carol! The lawyer lives! I will drop the word continent and just say Europe.
Of which the UN identifies 44 countries in Europe - Now the twist...
England is not one of the countries.
Missed this originally. Tom, you were right first time. The UK is part of the continent of Europe as the continental shelf of Europe extends to the west of Ireland and the north of Scotland.
Name at least 3 of the 4 countries in the world that have "coastal dune lakes".
What the heck is a 'coastal dune lake'??? Never heard of it..
Me neither, I guess that is why we play.
I will go US and Mexico. Total guess.
Coastal dune lakes intermittently open and close along coastal regions. They are actually very rare, but I do live by one, so the US is correct. Florida and Oregon are the 2 states in the US. I thought this might be a tough one. We need 2 more countries.
Fran, yes. Now we have the US and Australia. One more to go to get 3 out of four. One is the name of a Disney movie.
Only Disney movie name that I can think of for this might be Madagascar.
Fran is correct! US, Australia, Madagascar and New Zealand. Fran, you are up!
Ok, Since we're now officially in winter here in the northern hemisphere, where on earth was the coldest temperature ever recorded (at ground level)? Be specific. Extra credit if you know how cold it was.
going to guess Antartica but where on there i have no idea
Yes, it's on Antartica. Regardless of where, Merry Christmas all!
Agreed, Merry Christmas all!!! Here's to a better 2021!!!
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night.
7 courses of seafood
7 wines to accompany
Christmas Eve dinner was amazing!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!!!
Merry Christmas everyone!!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Why is there 18 holes in a round of golf and where was it decided upon?
because 17 does not divide evenly by two and everyone knows the 19th hole is the bar.
By the way, the answer to my question was Vostok Station and the temp was -128.6F or -89.2C
Yes xrayman67 it was St Andrews and its 18 holes as they changed short holes, but I prefer that they decided 18 as thats how many nips they get out a bottle of whisky.

Sleepychef, I like your way of thinking! LOL.
What country has the most time zones?
This is one of the great geography trivia questions
I think the answer is France...

Got to love all their territories
Tom, you're correct. France has 12 time zones.
Let us stick with Geography… No map peaking!
How well do you know the United States?
Name the most Northern State:
Name the most Southern State:
Name the most Western State:
Name the most Eastern State:
Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, Maine
xrayman... you only got one right
USVI is not a State - Sorry Sleepychef
OK, Alaska has to be right, so obviously the others are wrong. Wait, Hawaii has to be right! OK, I think it's a matter of definitions. When you say "most southern", does that mean the northern border of the state is the furthest south?? Regardless, Hawaii has to be right.
sleepychef--again, Guam is not a state
Just need to identify to fill in the blank
Name the most Northern State:_______________
Name the most Southern State:______________
Name the most Western State: ______________
Name the most Eastern State: _______________
Alaska and Hawaii have place on the list above
I'm thinking the most northern would be Alaska. I think that may also be the answer for the most western (Aleutian Islands). The most southern could be Hawaii and the most eastern Maine.
Fran
You have 3 out of the 4 correct...
Now...Which one is wrong
Hmmmm, Fl or NC might be the most eastern due to the orientation of the US on the earth? Of course I could be completely screwed up.
North: Alaska
South: Hawaii
East: Maine
West: Alaska
North: Alaska
South: Hawaii
East: Maine
West: Alaska
Green = good
Red = bad
Figured it out and thats crafty!!!
How in the world could Alaska be west of Hawaii? East, I'm going to guess North Carolina.
Carol - in fact Alaska in further west of Hawaii
And in fact the correct state has a longitude of 179°46'E making it the most eastern state
OHHH, tricky. What's west is east, hemispherically.
Huh? OK. Will wait for the correct answer.
Well, Longitude starts at the prime meridian, or zero degrees longitude (Greenwich England) and I believe adds one degree as you head east from there so 179+ would be halfway around the globe, therefore, some part of the western US is actually in the eastern hemisphere. The westernmost state could be also the easternmost.
FRAN
name the state and you win!
Can only be one place, one of the Aleutian Islands of Alaska. Busy right now but if someone else has a question before I get back to this please feel free to go ahead.
North: Alaska
South: Hawaii
East: Alaska
West: Alaska
yep a few islands are in the eastern hemisphere
open game for anyone
OK, I'm back.
Which mountain range in Africa has the same name as a town in South Wales?
OK, not even a guess so I pass. Someone else come up with something. By the way, the answer is Aberdare
OK, not even a guess so I pass. Someone else come up with something. By the way, the answer is Aberdare
I'll chime in.
How many states are there in Mexico?
Bonus question: How many of them can you name? (I can typically come up with a little more than half of them.) Please don't put your list here, just the number.
Dan
Looks like a hint is needed. OK, add the number of people who have walked on the moon to the number of nervous breakdowns in the Rolling Stones song.
Dan
Dan, There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in this game. No guesses on my question either.
Judges, can we accept 32? OK, although that would include Mexico City, which is a federal district (like Washington DC), not a state.
You're up sleepychef.
lol that was just a random guess!
Where is the hottest place on earth?
Hottest recorded temp or hottest on average? Hottest recorded at ground level was in Death Valley although there is an ongoing dispute about how the temp was determined so...
not Death Valley. and not air temp this place is routinely the hottest place on earth
I'm going with the caldera of an erupting volcano.
pmsl I did think about that answer but its a desert somewhere
So we are talking air temps?
OK, I'm totally confused. It's consistently the hottest place on earth but no temp on earth. How can that be? Either it's on earth or it's not. If it's in a desert, even below it, then it's still on earth. Even the core of the planet is still on earth. Below the surface but still on earth, therefore the temp would still be on earth. Yup, very confused. I suspect this may be a case of semantics.
The hottest place on earth is the Lut Desert in Iran at around 70 degrees as measured by NASA
Celsius or Fahrenheit?
its 2020 so who really knows!
Maybe we are.... over thinking....
