Cruise ship and airplane sanitation

Cruise ship and airplane sanitation - 04/02/2020 07:15 PM

Just wondering if a cruise ship or airplane is put out of service for 30 days or more ( which could/will happen). Would they need to be sanitized before they were put back in service since the open air life span of the Covid-19 virus known at this time is much shorter ?

The Diamond Princess, which was the first one known to be infected, was to be sanitized before re-entering service. I don't know if it is still in that process or not.

Be interesting to see what happens . As cleaning every nook and cranny could be hard to do on a cruise ship, even if fumigated.

Don't know, it was quite a big contract, for the cleaning of that ship.
