Gumption's Sea It Clear Website - 01/28/2015 05:08 PM

Some may recall there was a conversation a couple of weeks ago about Gumption’s Sea It Clear tours. I went to check out his website to see if the info was out there for others to find, but I found that his site http://www.seaitclearbvi.com had been hijacked by another person. His domain must have expired and was snatched up for a blog site. So I’ve been spending the past week or so volunteering to help Gumption get back online. He announced the launch of the site today, but I’d still like your feedback as we “shake down” the site.

Gumption is active on Instagram, Twitter, Trip Advisor, and Facebook, so one of the things I wanted to do with it was to pull together several of his social media feeds into one page. You’ll find he also shot a quick video welcoming you to the website.

It was fun working with him on it, and I hope it helps his business. I’m much more of a website hobbyist than a pro, so I appreciate any feedback you may have.

Thanks,

Kevin

Kevin....not bad for an Aggie! LOL Seriously tho...I am impressed! All of the links work....I like that when you click on a link it opens a new page (a mistake made by some developers IMHO is when you click on a link is doesn't take you to a new page and sometimes it is hard to get back to the home page). Great colors, videos...I have nothing to add but BRAVO my friend! Great job! Glad you were able to help him! Take care!

Happy birthday to Gumption. Great guy. You've done an excellent job on the website. Can we encourage Gumption to become a sponsor here then his website and email will be easily accesible in the future?

he said he was working on it, I talked to him about it a while ago when so many were asking questions here about his services, he knows the value of being an advertiser.

Great website, but you do have a mis-spelling. On the "Nature Tours" page you have "Sir Richard Brandon" the first time (got it right the next two times).

Impressively done!! We are heading to BVIs mid Feb with a four day land agenda on VG at the tail end of the trip. My kids will LOVE Gumption's tours but I've been struggling to get it organized in my head which tours etc.... this is perfect. And I agree, an eye-catching home page with great colors and links easily available. Great Job!!!!

@TrackingAg- spent some time perusing the site. I started following on Instragram and Twitter. When you clink links to watch videos on Instagram, they don't play. I am not a huge Instagram person (but my kids are so I keep an eye). This very well could be my mistake and I'm missing something OR it could be an Instagram issue and not a Sea It Clear issue. Just wanted to mention.

Thanks for the feedback, GettinBye. I haven't been 100% pleased with the instagram plug-in I was using, mostly b/c it was starting the video audio on the page when it loaded (obnoxious while at work). I've changed it to where you need to click on the video to start the audio, but you have to click again to start the video. I'll keep playing with other options. I did also make a few improvements and additions to the opening images. Thanks again.

Gig 'em TackingAg, well done. Personally I haven't been on a Gumption Tour, but several from our crew went last year. When the crew gets together, the stories from the Gumption tour are bound to come up.
Well spent time helping Gumption out with his site and domain name.
