cash questions - 02/23/2015 08:20 PM

so-
bareboating a cat-
when bringing cash, we will all be putting some cash into a "boatfund" to pay for moorings, ice, water, etc.
do we need to worry about bringing small bills? are we going to have a hard time if we bring $100's? should we stick with $10's and 20's?

thanks!

Definitely stick to smaller bills.

I'll bring the odd $100 or $50 bill, like to pay ferry fare, but mainly stick with $20's.

"Definitely stick to smaller bills."....what they said....$20.00s are the way to go in most cases I bring some 50s and use them for the mooring balls and I've never had a problem with that. But if you have to pay to get rid of trash and such...not so much.

I have issues using $100s in the U.S. but never in the BVI. Everyone prefers cash and is happy to change $100 bills; even for moorings.
