Just spent 8 nights on Anegada. Our favorite was Wonky Dog. We ate there 5 nights! Really fantastic food and different than the normal island offerings. Also nice to sit down and order what you want for dinner when you get to dinner. Still need a reservation. Desi and Peter were great hosts and we are very excited to get back and try more of their food. Try the Caribbean Heat pizza, the sticky toffee pudding and the corn and bacon ice cream.

I couldn't agree more about the Wonky Dog. The Corn and Bacon ice cream is incredible!!!

Also, the 13 hour lamb shank is fantastic...

Don't forget to start you meal with the conch ceviche or coconut cracked conch!!

We were there 2 weeks ago and we give the Wonky Dog 2 thumbs up. Everything was exceptional and deserts were over the top. We will be back.

Awesome, you can order from the menu when you arrive. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Clapping.gif" alt="" />
In all my years in the business, I will never understand the 4 pm preorder. Unless they are taking a fast power boat to Tortola to provision for the night.

Seems like they wanted the preorder by 5 or 6 for a 7:00 reservation.

We did not have to preorder. I was surprised when we made the reservation and was handed a menu and made my choice and he said he was just showing us what he had and we didn't need to make the choice until we got there for dinner. There were only 2 of us. Same process for the other 4 nights. And yes the cracked conch was amazing!

Went back in January after a 4 year hiatus. Spent an afternoon at Anegada Beach Club and it was lovely. Best Bushwackers and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Watching the kite surfers was an added bonus, as was the free ride to and from! Would really love to spend a few days in the cabanas there.

Where is the Wonky Dog? Is it new? We have been to Anegada 10 times and never saw it. Please educate me.

Yes. It opened in December. Next to Whistling Pines.

Wonky Dog is where Lobster Trap used to be, I believe. They weren't open yet when we were there in November, but that was my understanding.

Wonky is between Lobster trap and Whistling Pines.

Re: anegada restaurants - 02/28/2015 04:27 AM

Thanks. So, is Lobster Trap open again or is it going to open under new management or were we completely misinformed? My wife said that she was told that the owners of the Lobtster Trap had rented the place to someone else who was going to re-open it as a restaurant. Thus, I guess we made the assumption that it was the Wonky Dog that had leased the place.

The wonky dog structure was built by peters in laws. It's adjacent to the whistling pine on the east side.

Anegada Beach Club has leased the Lobster trap but kept the name if people are looking for The Lobster Trap food they should go to Pomato Point as Wilfred the owner and his cook Velma are now operating from there.
The Wonky Dog is between Lobster trap and Whistling Pines and had bright orange buildings and a brand new dock(well once the barge arrives!)

A BIG +1 on that! I have found trying to "force" the cats to order their dinner before the bathing suits are off a non starter...
