Charter flight from SJU to EIS for 12?

Anyone know of charter company with aircraft capable of 12 passengers? 2 families with small kids so not a weight issue just seats. Thanks

Done that more than once. Two planes with 12 you will have luggage. With 12 we never get there at the same time anyway. As the planes get bigger the cost per hour goes way, way up.

In my limited experience its been tough to find a twin prop charter plane for more than 8 or 9 people. Once you get to twelve I have found that you get to jets and that is hugely more expensive (and not worth it imho). Maybe look at it like a taxi trip. You can fight your way around this whole trip trying to get everyone in one taxi at the same time(or dinghy trip) or you perfect the divide and conquer approach early. Ring up the charter companies with your dates and times. Do not worry about the number or size of the planes let the air taxi services workout the best options with the inventory they will have on those days. With each additional plane you likely get the added bonus of one more "co-pilot" seat to fill. Those seats will be coveted in most groups.

Once AA backed on on the number of flights our standard approach is to get to San Juan the best you can and arrange for one of the air taxi operators to great each arriving part of the crew shortly after they get of the plane. Most of the pilots are great help gathering the luggage and getting it loaded. The family grabs a short potty break and the flight on the small planes is alway exhilarating with incredible views. For the view the smaller the plane the better. Sometimes with Disney getting into the park is half the fun. The same with the last leg by air taxi. Be honest with the weight of all your baggage, dive gear, electronics, coolers with meat.

I'll put in a thumbs up for FlyBVI....we like them a lot...(they have a website)...in addition, I'll add that breaking the group in 2 is probably the best option. easier to manage and cheaper overall.

Depending on weather, the flight is 38 minutes one way, and 42 the other in their Cessna 404...so depending on arrival times in SJU, the whole group could be back together within a couple hours...

I've been looking into this recently for our group of 14 and have pretty much decided two planes will work best. That said, VI airlink did provide me with a quote for their 19 seat aircraft. It wasn't cheap, but it was an option.

I tried to find one last year for our group of 9 and could never make it work. The luggage would have worked out to a max of 15#'s each. My family of 5's average weight was something like 115. The other family was heavier, but nothing crazy. I really wanted it to work out too.

We have a smaller group (kids and smaller adults) and weight is an issue even when we get a bigger plane than what we need. So I agree with others, luggage will be an issue even if you can find a 12 seat plane.

We used Air America out of SJU, check out their website. They might be able to accommodate you with two planes. We were pleased with their service. (Recommended by Island Birds when they couldn't accommodate us one trip.)

We looked into that but weren't able to afford the cost for two planes. With one plane, it was about the same cost at Cape Air. We had a 8 yo, (2) 13 yo's, and (2) 15yo's on ours. I wanted a charter to work out so badly. THis was for a trip this past summer.
