Best Showers? - 03/21/2016 01:20 AM
I love the opportunity to take a relatively long shower every few days - long compared to the "rinse off" we take on the boat to conserve water.
Showers are the Moorings base were nice. Bitter End - not so much.
Any suggestions on where to go?
Thanks!

The aft deck shower on most boats found in the BVI will be hard to beat with any public stall. Deck showering is a life skill that must be mastered along with the techniques to never bring sand into the boat.

Rent one of our boats with a water maker and take a long shower every day on your own boat.
The new showers at Peter are nice. I haven't used them except to wash sand off my feet but they're huge & beautiful & I've never seen them busy. Scrub & Nanny Cay are nice too. And they're inside a bathroom- the ones at Peter are JUST a shower.
I'd freeze to death showering on the transom, I like to close the ports, block the a/c vent & steam up the shower hot enough that I could steam some shrimp & broccoli in there if I wanted to.... Especially immediately after I snorkel... Which I do in a wetsuit.
As an addendum to my post above about the showers at Peter, Doug tells me there's a large crew lounge right upstairs from the showers with rest rooms, AC & tv. Did not know this.
