Does anyone know of any restaurants that offer a free meal to the captain when sailing? I know Cynthia on Jost Van Dyke used to, but not sure lately. Thanks.
Pirates at Norman, and the Anegada Reef Hotel a couple weeks ago. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

Paid Captain/Skipper? Or lead charter, boat owner? There is a difference isn't there?

Should only be given to the Captains that visit the restaurant frequently with groups of guests. Why should a once in a lifetime visitor "Captain" expect a free meal !!
Maybe because they are bringing 7 other people with them when they could have suggested another restaurant? If the restaurants' policy is Captain eats free, what difference does it make how many times they visit.
We have been down 22 times and we always take our crew to Potter's, maybe that's why he gives us a free meal. We don't ask for it, it's just what he does for us. We have become friends through the years, maybe it's just what friends do for friends.
