Just curious, has anyone stayed at oil nut bay? Looks beautiful but of course expensive. Hard to get to? Dining? Is there construction going on? Thanks for any input.

We have not stayed there but we did dinghy over on our trip last month. There is construction going on with several visible homes being built and a major beach project build up on the far shore. Lots of trucks and large equipment moving.

I don't believe there are going to be any guest accomodtions at Oil Nut. As I understand it the development is marketing super exclusivity with super high end owner villas only.

I saw guest accommodations near the Club House with guests staying in them. Don't know if they are for potential buyers or if anyone can request them. I would check with the Oil Nut Bay office for your best answer.

There is a beach with chairs. The property is very nice with horse stables, tennis courts, swimming pool, etc. Several villas are already completed.

Access is only by boat, unless you do the hike from the Bitter End that is "closed" right now <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />

Definitely available for rental. High end of the market. (600 and up per bedroom/per night) for villas. Think $2,000 per night and up. Rental gives you access to the dining room as well as pool/beach club. Quiet setting and super attentive service.

Amazing resort and facilities, we have eaten there only. They have villas and rooms to rent, pricey but well worth it if thats your cup of tea. You can get around by the resort ferries or opt to rent a boat while you are they and keep it on the dock. Once we win the lottery I would love the opportunity to stay there in the lap of luixury :-)
