We have a 515 PowerCat with 4 couples.

We have not returned to BVIs since Irma...

What is best 6 night itinerary with mooring balls at night and
Resturants/ Bars.

We are not planning on going to Anegeda.
We do want to go to JVD and The Baths.

Need lots of ideas ....

Thanks...

That sounds good. If you move JVD up a night you can BBQ at Leverick Friday night, Foxy's Saturday night, and the Elmtones in CGB Sunday night. We are going to try and make that work in June. Enjoy

I’ve read that Marina Cay is still not open

Cooper
Gorda Sound (via Dogs for snorkel) - Anchor in Prickly Bay (just east of Vixen Point) then RIB to ONB for the day and RIB to Leverick for the evening.
Marina Cay (snorkel Diamond Reef) - evening can be either MC or Scrub
Diamond Cay (via Sandy Cay). B-Line or Foxy's Taboo for lunch (or taxi to White Bay) - takeaway from B-line for dinner and enjoy evening on-board.
Norman (via Indians)
Peter (Willy T - if you're into that kind of gear) or Cooper if you're not!

Marina Cay is open. Just operating from a tent. The old restaurant has not been rebuilt.

Dock fully operational though.

Oil Nut Bay doesn't allow non-resort guests to use their facilities any longer. You can visit the new marina, but that's it.

Assuming reality lives up to the design renders, the ONB Marine Village will still be a great spot for lunch...and ONB itself is still full of turtles, eagle rays and sharks, so fab snorkeling!

Re: Best Itinerary for 6nites - 03/07/2019 12:00 AM

Here is my 1.5 cents...

Day 1-Come out of Road Harbor early and either go to White Bay or Great Bay JVD (and then taxi to White Bay JVD). If in Great Bay stay the night. If in White Bay then go to Great Bay to stay or Cane Garden if no north swell

Day 2-Go to Monkey Point on Guana Island and if birds are diving stop to snorkel or moor and send someone in to check the snorkelling. Continue on past and tour Marina Cay, Scrub and Trellis and then go to Leverick and either have a slip reserved or boaty ball for the night

Day 3-Leave Leverick early and after checking the cruise schedule go down to the Baths on a ball and visit the baths. From there head to Cooper island and stay there for the day and night geting a boaty ball if you think you will get there after 1030

Day 4 Head to Peter island Willie T. which opens at 1030. Its really 2 bars. A fun family one by day and crazy one by night. If you are in for the latter then moor there for the night.

Day 5 Leave Peter Island and head to the Indians and caves and snorkel. Then head to the Bight for the night

Day 6-dont exactly know if this is the day you return to base but if it is then you are done. If not head back to Soggy Dollar Bar early and then return to base that evening...we come in night before just to unwind

Have fun...it truly is a very nice boat. the key for me is I get up early and as long as I have 1 other crew member will start out early.

Dont know why Anegada isnt on agenda but with that boat and a good sea you can be there in 50 minutes from Leverick. I left Anegada and went to the baths in a good sea in about 75 minutes

I was thinking about going in the opposite direction....but I could reverse the itinerary so our LAST NIGHT is at JVD!!!
This Crew has been to Anegada multiple times and is not planning on it this year....

Day 1 (saturday) -Come out of Road Town and head to the Indians and caves and snorkel. Then head to a mooring ball on Norman. Then to the Bight for Dinner and the night.

Day 2 (sunday)- Get up early to Great Bay JVD, Foxys, etc (and then taxi to White Bay JVD, Soggy Dollar). Is Corsairs open for dinner at Great Bay?

Day 3 (monday)- Head to Cane Garden Bay. We have never been there so where is the best place to catch a mooring ball and best things to do that are open for business. Best dinner place?

Day 4 (tuesday)- Get up early & Go past and tour Marina Cay, Scrub and Trellis....is Marina Cay mooring balls in place? Is Pussers functioning? Better to moor at Marina Cay and eat at Scrub?

Day 5 (wednesday) -get up early and go to Leverick for a mooring ball for the night. Taxi to Top of the Baths for the day. Best dinner place? Top of the Baths or Leverick bay?

Day 6 (thursday)- From there head to Cooper island and stay there for the day and night geting a boaty ball if you think you will get there after 1030

Day 7 (friday)- this is the day we return to Moorings base

.......Where are the cruise ships schedule?

......Willie T's? What else is there to do on Peter Island that we don't have to over dress up for? Mooring Balls?

....what great overnight moorings am I missing?

....What great dining places am I missing?

We are looking forward to this Post IRMA trip on the 515 Power Cat......it truly is a very nice boat.

Thanks...

Is Corsairs open for dinner at Great Bay? ---- Yes

is Marina Cay mooring balls in place? ---- Yes

Is Pussers functioning? ---- Yes, from large tent near dock, not the original building.

Better to moor at Marina Cay and eat at Scrub? ---- Depends on budget...Ratmanswife and others on this forum recently suggested that Marina Cay was a better spot for dinner in their opinion.

Best dinner place? Top of the Baths or Leverick bay? ---- Leverick in our opinion.

.......Where are the cruise ships schedule? ---- see other forum post on this subject, some handy links and info from several helpful souls.

......Willie T's? What else is there to do on Peter Island that we don't have to over dress up for? ---- nothing. Willy T is the only game in town.

Mooring Balls? ---- lots

looks like a great route and concur with Christo's comments. Only caveat to remember with Cane Garden bay is make sure there is no North Swell. I found out the hard way about that and went up and down all night on a ball...

I only learned about it from the Captains here...

we have been bookending our trips with White Bay. try the lobster cheese sandwich at Hendos if you get the chance

As far as your dinner plans on VG, to get from TOB back to Leverick,
you literally will drive by every restaurant on the island.
While both are nice places to eat with beautiful views, you have many
more to choose from

Have fun

If you want a really nice restaurant and great sunset view Coco Maya is hard to beat and next to Baths

Damn it’s hard typing on an old IPhone; just lost a long message.

Anyway, steel pan is playing at Scrub, also on Mondays. We have eaten at both restaurants post-Irma. In my opinion, okay but expensive.

There are 27 boats at Marina Cay tonight; 32 last night. Deceptive because many are on the hook, including a lot of “parked” DYC boats. There is a big power cat, Sea Glass.

Re: Best Itinerary for 6nites - 03/08/2019 12:16 AM

We eat often at Marina Cay. With that stupid over water building gone, there is a classic Caribbean feel under the tent. Tyrone has done a great job with the food, focusing on local dishes such as fish and conch. He has connections with the fishermen and you can see them bringing him their catch. Sometimes he also arranges for live music. It’s not cheap, but nowhere is these days. We wish Pussers would do more to rebuild the place, but that is a long story.
