RIP Mitch Sebastian - 05/02/2019 01:59 PM

For those that knew Mitch, who worked at Soggy Dollar for years, passed away two days ago from cancer. A great guy who always had a smile on his face. RIP Mitch. Your fight is over.

Was I given the wrong info? Not the guy from Soggy Dollar?

Mic from Soggy Dollar's last name is Penn.

If I'm not mistaken, Mitch Sebastian ran a day charter boat out of Cane Garden Bay.

tradewinds, correct. I misunderstood my wife. Mitch was the one who took us out from CGB to place my parents ashes in the water last November. Thanks for the clarification.

I hate to hear that. What a nice guy. He took a group of us from CGB to White Bay a couple of years ago. We had a blast with him. frown

Oh wow. I didn't know Mitch's last name. I have used him several times and sent guests out with him. Very very sad news! Way to young...

Is this Ocean Magic Mitch?

Re: RIP Mitch Sebastian - 05/03/2019 02:30 PM

Yes it is. Way too young. My mistake on the original post. But that was from not listening to the wife properly. Certainly not the first time!

Wow that sucks, we were supposed to use him 2 years ago, was staying on Tortola but 3 days before I was to arrive a couple "lil" storms changed plans. talked to him and Katie making sure they were okay.
Condolences to his family.

Re: RIP Mitch Sebastian - 05/04/2019 05:49 PM

Very sorry to hear. He was a fun person to be around and loved to stay with the group he taxied to White Bay. We had four guys signed up for the all-day trip to White Bay, and when we met at the gas dock on CGB, he had an electric shaver removing his trademark white 5 o'clock shadow. I asked him why and he replied, "no use advertising your age." A few moments later a couple of gorgeous ladies, dressed to the nines, arrived and introduced themselves as Chicago actress/models, joining the fun. Mystery solved. I supposed that Mitch was from the guesthouse Sebastion family, but have no idea if true or not. frown
