Stay Away from BucketLust

Stay Away from BucketLust - 12/31/2019 01:57 PM

Stay away from this flotilla if at all possible. Sure, there is some eye candy to look at, but they are 24/7 partners and a bit obnoctious and are traveling in a pack of 20 boats. There is no peace to be had when they are near.

They were in Cane Garden Bay last night and seemed to be a well-behaved group having a good time celebrating on the beach during a holiday week. No harm, no foul here...

Sounds like an invitation to party

As luck would have it, they have shown up again in Anegada. I’m curious how tonight will go as we are surrounded by their boats all sporting large banners announcing their arrival.

We went to Cow Wreck today and they all came in carrying in their own sound system turning the volume to 10 like they owned the place. All the patrons were not happy.

My problem with this group and their pirate minded captains is that they have no respect for common courtesy, one of which is double tying up on a mooring ball with 2 Cats. Fortunately the mooring owners came out and told them to get off and move, which started another issue. The cat was driving through a dark morning field with no available balls. Unbelievable!!! If they are true captains, they should loose their license, if that is even possible.

This group should concentrate their efforts in Mexico or NYC and leave the BVIs to the true sailing community. If this continues, they will ruin the sailing spirit of the BVIs.

Your last paragraph says it all but a few years to late.
For the most part Cat sailors are serious sailors but a lot of the newer Capt’s are more of the Jet skiers mentality

Perhaps the BucketLust itinerary can be added to the TTOL Cruise Ship Schedule online site.
