Not from the govt but this is the best summary I’ve seen.

Thanks Jason...have you heard if they are actually going to have the Rapid Antigen Test available?
I heard Penn's was offering Rapid Test but have not been able to confirm.

Jason, do you think the fully vaccinated entry fee of $50 is correct? They said it would be $50 for the rapid test, but does that include the $35 portal fee?

There is a reference to travel insurance or Covid insurance as a requirement for a BVI entry certificate. Is that correct and are there guidelines for what will satisfy that requirement -- other than buying insurance from one of the referenced travel insurance providers? For example, does a prepaid return airline ticket qualify as travel insurance? Does health insurance that covers Covid illnesses and which applies abroad qualify as Covid insurance?

jhart - the rules about which insurances are accepted were so opaque at the time I booked that I figuratively gave up and got a policy from one of the providers listed. A return ticket will not suffice as proof of insurance. If you can scan the insurance page that you have that explicitly covers COVID-related costs then you should be good to go. I think I paid $90 or so for 30 days - and considered it another BVI fee.

The 14 June Statutory Instrument had three requirements listed for the insurance (I don't believe this was changed from the earlier SI). It's pretty clear they have not been enforcing these requirements as many people are reporting that their policies were accepted and not all those policies cover all these items (not my issue - just a comment).

See the bottom of Page 5 of the SI - 4(d)(i) through 4(d)(iii). Image attached.

The portal, under "Required Information", lists:
- Health information (COVID19 and infectious disease related)
- COVID19 travel Insurance evidence

The FAQ page on the portal also states:
10.What insurance do I have to upload?
Non-Residents are required to purchase COVID-19 medical insurance. This has to be an insurance that can cover you while in the country in the event that you become sick and can cover your medical and quarantine costs. Travel insurance is an option.

We only uploaded our letter from Cigna saying our medical insurance covered us worldwide. We have MedJet, but didn't include that (would have, had they asked).

The tricky bit is the quarantine. If your PCR test is positive, you won't be able to fly to Puerto Rico, and getting retested for a false positive isn't immediate. You might be able to ferry to the USVI if you had that advance test.

Or you could be stuck in the BVI, paying for a hotel for two weeks. It has happened. We own our house, so that may be why they didn't care.

Not sure. I’d guess it will $85 total but no real experience yet.
