Bringing home Sabastians - 10/20/2021 07:45 PM

I have been asked by a friend to bring her home 2 bottles of Sabastian's to use at her sons wedding for a toast.. toast...so I may as well bring a bottle or 2 for me too.
Anyone have an experiences to share doing this? I have bought some bottle sleeves from Amazon that seal incase they break.
Thinking I would put in my hard case luggage ...ugh...I never check a bag but will for this. Thankfully I have a nonstop flight.
What can I expect going through customs and at the airport?

Thanks everyone...cheers!

You are allowed to enter the USVI or SJU with one liter of alcohol. If you have more there is a duty you may have to pay. If you buy it in the USVI there is a exemption allowing 5 liters.

“You may be asked to show your receipts so it is important to keep a good record of what you buy. This duty-free allowance is double the $800 limit from other islands. You may also take 5 cartons of cigarettes and 5 litres of liquor back as long as one of the bottles is a product made in the Virgin Islands such as Cruzan Rum.”
