Is the Wllie t a safe place? I have heard mixed things:(

Safe for whom? I would be extremely cautious with impressionable children. But fine for adults. Depends on who is there and time of day you visit.

I kinda feel like if after all the years of it's history, if you have to ask this you likely should not go there?

It depends on what you deem is safe. We have had some entertaining/interesting visits to the Willy T on Sundays but if we feel uncomfortable we just leave. The last time we went my husband and adult children went to the Willy T and I stayed on the boat to do inventory. I had bottles of rum sitting on the table while I was in the process and all of a sudden I hear pounding music and an engine roar. One of the fast boats that was at the Willy T sped through the mooring field blaring music, no running lights on and caused such a wake that it rocked our catamaran so badly that it through the bottles off the table and across the salon, shattering them everywhere!

This is identical to your post on, as you call it, the "Doggy Dollar".

Come on guys, give her a break. She doesn't post a lot, but registered years ago.. Lighten up, ok?

Some of the other comments weren't so kind.

To take the question at face value - in my experience there are many days/times of day where the is little going on at the WT.
Because someone always has to be aboard anyway, the opening hours are generous.

Just go at any time there is not loud music or rowdy crowds (95% of the time?).
We have never felt our personal safety was at risk at the WT.
