Another October 2 ferry question - 09/15/2022 05:03 PM

Plane lands at 12:30, I have looked at Native Son, RTFF and Smith's, and do not see ANY afternoon ferries to RT - am I missing something?

No, you aren't. Schedule reductions for hurricane season began yesterday. I've seen part of the press release on FB, but not the attachment showing the actual schedule.

I'm thinking the 5 pm is all you get . Except for weekends.

October 2 is a weekend - Sunday?

C'mon Mal, George - somebody has to have a way?

The ferry changes.

Poor quality but readable.

Thanks - NOT real accommodating. 10/2, land at 12:30, Petite Pump room until 4:45. Returning 10/8; leave RT at 8:00 to catch a 4:30 flight home. Gotta see if Andy's sailing bud wants to pony up the cash for a water taxi!

I believe Cape Air is still flying that route. For one or two people it may be cheaper and faster than a water taxi.

Aquatic Rentals has a ferry run on 10/2

true, but Aquatic Rentals on 10/2 is not until 6:00, an hour later, and add-in cab to Red Hook, not a gain. And Cape Air is $259 for one. - money better spent in the pump room.

I would head to Emerald Beach for a later lunch/cocktails in the great beach bar til you need to head to the 5o/clock ferry. Tyler will proably be your barkeep and will take great care of you..plus you can swim etc.

Good call! Last trip in June we spent the night there - you were right, VERY enjoyable! Thanks as always.
