Day charter w Elaine from Leverick- ideas? - 12/02/2023 01:21 AM

We have day chartered with Elaine out of Leverick many times and always been very successful. For our upcoming trip in early January, we have booked again. My college senior and his girlfriend are joining us so looking for fun fun fun. From Leverick we have typically gone to JVD first. Last time we went it was kind of a Sh*t show. Lost its charm IMO. And reading the recent posts about it - forget it. I think I’m done.
So- my question is. I realize it’s not the same beach thing , but what are the reviews of Marina Cay? I loved the old one and am so pleased they rebuilt. Should we stop there ? The Willie T and cooper are a must for our first timers but wondering if Marina Cay is worth a stop. (We are ferrying to Anegada for a day and Saba and BEYC from Gun creek so we don’t need to include those).
My son’s girlfriend has never left the US so I know she is going to be blown away by the beautiful BVI. Can’t wait to share Sugarcane and Coco Maya with her.

The rebuild of Marina Cay is certainly nice, but I personally would not consider it a must stop.

JVD -> Willie T -> Cooper and then back up to North Sound is our general route.

There is an awesome rock to climb up and jump off just behind one of the Camanou's that is pretty exciting for college aged kids, also could snorkel Monkey Point, or stop by Sandy Cay off Jost for an awesome swim.

I've also always had an awesome time at Beeline Bar on Little Jost.

And if no cruise ships are in, I do still love Cane Garden

Agree that Marina Cay is nice but not a must do stop. We also like BLine on Little Jost. Indigo Beach House is our must stop for food and drink in Cane Garden Bay (if the mobs are not there). Is Anegada an option if you have a rare flat water day?

Elaine is very knowledgeable about the sunken Kodiak Queen and it's an easy stop location-wise.

I have found that, even on cruiseship days, Indigo House is fine...most of them dont head that far down the beach!

Mal, years ago we stayed at the Indigo House. We had left and came back around lunchtime to find 4 cruisers that just made themselves at home on the patio. We could tell from the sandy footprints they even used the bathroom. But as you said, on the four cruiseship days we were there they rarely ventured that far down the beach.
