Does anyone know if this type of phone will work on the island? thanx so much. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/circle.gif" alt="" />
I never heard of it, but Googled it and the website tells you everything you want to know. We have AT&T and its free so no reason to pay per minute.
I've used Tracfone in the past on STT and STJ. For the most part it will work fine. You may get some dead zones in parts of both islands.
Welcome back, Schultz! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Wink.gif" alt="" />
Tracfone is fine. purchase lots of minutes before you go. The only place to buy them on STT is at the Radio Shack at Tutu. But is works really well and a great savings.
There is also a Radio Shack at Buccaneer Mall and Nisky Center, but I honestly don't know why anyone would have anything but an AT&T iPhone! <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/jester.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/drinking.gif" alt="" /> (Kool-Aid)
I have Verizon. I believe their commercials that say that they have the best coverage. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/duh.gif" alt="" />
not in St.Thomas where AT&T is free
We use Verizon for the continental US. I need to check, I thought Verizon was free there in STT also, but will check it out. We will be in STT for a day in December.
Carol: Verizon is currently roaming, but there is a rumor that they are building/renting towers.
OK. Wouldn't be using it much anyway, since it's just one day. Will send you a note about it, maybe we can get together.
I believe you can load $ on Tracfone online with a cc.
Cheers
