I sent in my passport renewal application July 8; USPS said it was delivered July 9 although the State Department didn't record receipt until July 13. I received it today!!! Less than four weeks from their receipt date!!

Lucky you ! I sent ours in June and IRS still lists them as being in the system.

Yes, like tax evasion and ordered by the court to surrender passport.
