Italy Travel Question

Hi Guys: Just love this forum and just know there is someone on board who can answer my question. Instead of visiting the island this year, we are going to Venice, Florence and Rome. Does anyone know of a web site or have visited Venice and Florence and have special hotels. Thanks for your anticipated help.

when we are in Rome we stay at The Hotel Sonya. A very nice place.

Entire home/apt for $125 CAD. The charming studio in Rome, nestled right behind the Colosseum, in the heart of one of the most prestigious areas of town. We stayed here for a week and found it to be a great area to explore Rome and live like a local. Restaurants, groceries, shops and amazing gelato around the corner. 5 minute walk to metro

In Rome I have only stayed at the Best Western near the Airport. Nice spot near the beach but far from all the touristy stuff. In Venice we stayed at the Hotel San Luca which is right in the heart of Venice near the Rialto Bridge and St Marks square. We had a room in a separate building from the main hotel that overlooked one of the smaller canals. We often had gondoliers singing to tourists as they passed below our window.

We stayed at the Gritti Palace in Venice on the main canal and at the Forum Hotel about a quarter mile from the coliseum. That was easy walking distance to Centro Rome.

When we do this we rent a villa in Tuscany that is right above the local train station. From there you can train to everywhere you want to go but also have use of a kitchen, pool and aren't locked in a small room. Also typically much cheaper per night than a hotel. Much more relaxing. We go to villa catola. Spelling might not be right but it is close

In Rome we stayed in. A great spot and close to all the sights in walking distance.

ohhh... so jealous... I just love Italy. We stayed at the Lido when we were in Venice, which was a bus and vaporetta ride away from Venice. In Florence, we stayed in Montecatini, which is beautiful - loved the spas/mineral springs there.

Hi, those are three of the greatest cities on earth. First off, Spring and Fall are the best seasons to visit. The Summer can be overwhelmingly hot.
