Does anyone know the correct pronunciation of the restaurant "Le Piment"? We have eaten there each of the past few trips but still don't know how to "say it".

La PEE-mon. Soft on the "n" at the end. --sxmdoc

I recall it being said that way but didn't know if they were saying it correctly. Thank you for the confirmation.

In French, what is our "I" is their long "E".

Crystal... we spent extra time visiting with her on our three visits to Le Piment last July. Wonderful dining experiences every time!

She doesn't wear a name tag, but from their restaurant revue on the former dinesxm, it was spelled Christelle.

It's Le Piment. Not La. La is the feminine for "the" and Le is the masculine. Le is not pronounced La. I'm not sure how to spell it phonetically but its close to "lew". Common mistake is to pronounce Le as "Lay"

"Le" is more like the short "i" sound, as in "lick".

We pronounce it Beef Stew, our favorite. Christelle and Sylvain, the co-owners do a remarkable job with the menu and the description of the items on the menu. A truly amazing culinary experience.

I'm another "Lar" from PA, and also love that beef stew. It isn't always on the menu, but one of us will always order it when it is.
