These are great, for kids or adults... a little hot & sweet...

[color:"blue"]CURRIED RICE KRISPY SQUARES

[color:"blue"]Ingredients
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, plus more for greasing the dish
One 10-ounce bag marshmallows
3 tablespoons Madras curry powder
1/2 cup salted roasted sunflower seeds
6 cups Rice Krispies

[color:"blue"]Directions
1.Butter a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. In a large saucepan, melt the 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the marshmallows and cook over very low heat, stirring with a wooden spoon, until completely melted, about 5 minutes. Stir in the curry powder. Remove from the heat and add the sunflower seeds and Rice Krispies; stir until completely coated.
2.Scrape the mixture into the prepared baking dish and, using buttered hands, press into an even layer. Let stand at room temperature until cooled and firm.
3.Invert the curried Rice Krispies onto a work surface. Using a sharp knife cut into 1"x2" rectangles and serve.

Huhm, not sure how I think about the concept of curry in a rice krispies treat. I'll have to think about it..

Not a big fan of curry so I can't even imagine this combination.

I like the addition of the roasted sunflower seeds...
thay add a lot of flavor, and blend right in with the Rice Krispies...
also good with cayenne (about 1/3 tsp.) rather than the curry...
I just love hot & sweet stuff... <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />

I think I'd try both cayenne and curry! I agree about the hot and sweet. We had a huge bottle of Mr. Yoshida's stir-fry sauce that I bought at Costco, and it was just too sweet for me. Tonight I added some Sriracha chile sauce to it and glazed a salmon filet. It was delicious!

Will have to try this recipe.

Not a fan of Yoshida or Junki Yoshida. He is local here in Portland but there are better sauces and I will stop there.

I completely agree. I just bought it on a whim, and I have a real hard time throwing anything away. I certainly won't buy it again. It was much better with the Sriracha chili sauce added.
