Taxi or Car Rental?

Taxi or Car Rental? - 05/05/2016 02:29 PM

We will be on a charter with some first timers in the next month. Of course, on the agenda is a visit to The Baths. In the past we have taken an NPT mooring but this time are thinking to go direct to Leverick and either take a taxi or rent a car. As there will be six of us, can anyone comment on the relative economics of both options? We will likely want to stop off at Hog Heaven on the way to/from as well.

Thanks.

Rent. It's the only way to go. Leverick will set that up for you. You'll be on your own timetable. Taxi to and from the Baths for 6 would in itself be more expensive than the rental fee.

Virgin Gorda is probably the easiest of the BVI to drive, but do be aware of steep hills and switchbacks, stay to the left at all times.

Don't forget your park pass if doing baths from land. I always rent a truck, it's a blast!

Agree with Breeze - you'll be free to stop at Savannah Bay or take in the copper mine - also you might want to try Coco Maya for a meal. cheers

Rent. Nick and Monica at Leverick will help with a truck. Then you can stop at Hog Heaven and easily go into town for dinner Coco Maya or ???

Thanks to all for your comments. It sounds like renting is a no-brainer.
