Four of us decided to try this place last night. Fairly new and according to reports and the Starz website, operated by local Chef Dino Jagtiani. I dropped the others off, parked the car and upon entering the restaurant I noticed it was empty. The others met me and said the restaurant was NOT serving food. There was a bartender there but she was more interested in playing on her smart phone than being a waitress or providing any information.

As I was walking out I passed Dino's father and said hello to him. I also asked what the situation was and he indicated his family no longer had any involvement in the operation and was simply going to say "hello" to the lonely bartender. He said they had sold their interest a few months ago.

I have no idea what happened here and if anyone has any up to date information it would be appreciated by myself and I am sure others who had hoped to dine at The Grill.

Pretty sad situation. It appeared to be a nice setting but something is amiss.

The same thing happened to us. We were so disappointed is wasn't opened. However, we soon remembered Bar Code was nearby- ended up dining here at least 6 times during our month stay. Excellent food (from outrageous hamburgers, ribs to osso bucco and General Tso's chicken or shrimp- reasonable prices -friendly staff. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/dine.gif" alt="" /> It's tucked in behind the Starz complex- follow the road to the medical school and bear left. It's on the right.

That's really too bad.

We had a great casual dinner there in mid December and enjoyed every aspect from the setting to the dinner check and everything in between. So I guess that will leave us looking for a new neighborhood place to 'grab a quick bite' without requiring a lot of formality. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/handshake.gif" alt="" />

IMHO, Bar Code fits the bill for your criteria.

Sue,

We've enjoyed BarCodes a few times but liked the idea of a casual dinner at Starz - and then a casual deposit to the casino's cause. You can never have too many options........ <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Joy.gif" alt="" />
