i've tried different recipes, but this is one of my favorites and is well received when i make it.

korean-style ribs, serves 4

3lbs pork or beef ribs, trimmed of excess fat
1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
1 cup freshly squeezed oj
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp finely minced/grated peeled ginger
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp toasted sesame oil
2 tbsp honey

brown ribs on med-high heat for approx 15mins until browned on all sides. transfer to slow cooker.

in a bowl combine soy sauce, oj, vinegar, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and honey and mix well. pour the sauce over the ribs. cover and cook on low heat for 6-8hrs until the meat is very tender.

garnish with sesame seeds and scallions, if desired.

right now i have bourbon-molasses ribs going in the oven, which i intended for the slowcooker but forgot to get it started earlier. it's my first time making them, but will post if the results are worthy.
