Esmeralda-still very nice but needs updating of the drapes, bedspreads, furniture.
CoCo Beach-beach is very narrow now, two rows of chairs in front of the restaurant. Nude Section-16 chairs, 8-12 occupied each day. With the narrow beach, rocks, and fence it gives a closed in feeling.
Orient Beach-it gets wider as you go from the rock towards Pedros. ClubO area seems to be normal. Beach is crowded but not terrible. 6 cruise ships on one day is too much. Hot for this time of the year with no rain and some wind.
Traffic-as usual it can be a problem especially when several tour buses are on the road at the same time. Wednesday the the number of people seemed to increase I would imagine due to the Regatta.
Boats-the number and size of the megayachts is amazing. The number of sailboats on the water is beautiful.
New places-Piazza Paschal in Grand Case, Italian /French food, 1:1, reasonable prices, friendly (Donna), second floor seating away from the street. Abul Gahzi, fast food gyros type sandwich next to Fresh Market on the way into P-Burg ($4-$8). Calmos Cafe (Grand Case) nice drink with a great sunset.
Old Friends-Villa Pizza (Cul de Sac), La Rosa Too (Maho), and Shopper's Haven (P-Burg). I would strongly recommend Shopper's Haven for jewelry. Victor, Sam, Ric have outstanding selection, have been trustworthy and service oriented for 14 years.
