In reference to the Sonesta Maho resort: when we first discovered the island back in 2005, that's where we were staying- an AI package with one of the Canadian charter holidays company, don't remember now exactly. The place was booming and alive, bars are full of people at night partying. Never stayed there ever since but noticed that every other year the place were going down the hill very fast. A few years ago, it was completely dead. But this year visit was a surprise. We noticed that the place was renovated, people are back at the bars. But the traffic on a sidewalks was very little.
