We have been to La Playa several times since Bruno and Thomas purchased it. In every case, the beach boy charged us for our chairs, and we willingly paid him, as pretty much every beach on Orient charges for chairs even if you dine there. Palm Beach seems to be the only exception to that.
We are friends of Bruno's and he has personally comped our chairs a couple of times, but we would never ask for special treatment because of that friendship.
