Our last day proved to be the best all out- sun-day in almost a week although it wasn’t until after 10 am when the sun came out. Spent another day at Palm.
We went for a walk to find Cybershark. We decided to stop at
[color:"green"]Zen Café for a crepe. While they have many sweet crepes they only have breakfast-type savory crepes and I wanted something with chicken or fish.
I decided to have the shrimp with salsa wrap served with rice and salad. My wrap arrived grilled with plain white rice on the side and a small salad. The shrimp were very undercooked so after trying to eat one I sent it back explaining the shrimp were not cooked. The same dish came back 10 minutes later in the same condition. It was the same wrap that I had cut in half so am not sure how they could have cooked more? The wrap was unappetizing because of an abundance of average salsa and undercooked cut up large shrimp. I ate a few more bites and left the rest. The server said she was sorry I didn’t like it and offered us a shot of infused rum. 27 € or dollars, one for one.
Back to Palm Beach where I ordered the salmon club for 12 €. Very tasty hearty sandwich with smoked salmon, lettuce, tomato and bacon served with fries and cole slaw.
Same DJ from evening before played around 4 pm so we joined a small crowd at the bar to listen to some very good old school disco and techno music. Palm was still promoting the new beer which David did not care for.
Dinner was at
[color:"blue"]Paradise View. Very comfortable seats and great views. After Lucy gave us the specials David decided on the flank steak in shallot sauce with potatoes and salad and I had Locquirec : sea scallops, cream & leeks crepe 12 €. Lucy asked if I liked shrimp, which I do. Two jumbo shrimp accompanied my crepe at no additional cost. David’s flank steak was delicious and cooked exactly to order. The potatoes were crusted and seasoned to perfection. We shared a yummy crepe suzette but couldn’t finish it as we were too full. Dinner with cocktail, 2 glasses of wine, sparkling water and an aperitif cost 53 € or $66. Another fantastic meal there.
