From Boston to Sxm on US-Air had to circle airport for 45 minutes because of rain. Mickey from Tropicana was waiting for us at the airport. Met two wonderful first timers on flight and got them hooked up with Mickey. In no time we both had rentals and off we went to our accomodations. Our first week we stayed at the Sapphire Beach Resort and got upgraded to 1 bedroom with kitchen oceanfront. Our stay at this resort was wonderful. Had three nights of music from our balcony and great service.On saturday we took a overnight trip to Anguilla and stayed at the Paradise Beach Hotel on Cove Bay. Again we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite. The hosts here treated us like royalty. The hotel shuttle us to Cove Bay and we were introduced to Smokey,s. Great music from 1-4 and great ribs. Our second week was at the Westin again we were upgraded to oceanfront. The rooms at the Westin are terrific and the staff ther were also terrific. Breakfasts were mainly at Turtle Pier, Chesterfields, and Mr. Busby's. Dinners were at Peg Leg Pub, Cantina Bonita, Pineapple Petes, Pirates at Paridise, Bikini Beach, and the best one at the Ocean Club "Oasis Beach Bar". At the Oasis Beach Bar everything was half price because they were closing till high season. Beaches that we spent time at were "The Cave" underneath the Rainbow Club on Cupecoy. Spent one day at Cupecoy Beach with Danny. Orient Beach, Dawn Beach and our favorite Guana Bay. Simpson Bay "Karacter's a close second. We had one day of rain out of 14 and spent that time shopping. Rima's was our must stop for souviners. This was our 30th trip to St Martin. We now make our anniversary trip here annually.. just celebrated our 41st. Wehad no problem with crime and never saw traffic.
