7:00 PM Thursday-picked up by a new service, Lotus Transportation, owner Alex at the wheel of an M5 BMW, carry-ons into the trunk and woosh, arrived at LAX in less than an hour, it is 86 miles on Google!
Alex is a race driver and grew up driving the Autobahn, only faster way to the airport would be a helicopter!!
Great red-eye service on Delta then switch to AA in Miami, had a few smokes outside with happens to be the first class Flight Attendant on our flight, she com’ped cockails our cocktails in economy class!! Just kept coming the whole flight!!!
Day 1
Quick Rum Punch at Petitie Pump Room and boarded the ferry at left the dock promply at 2:20 PM HMMM…this is the Bomba Charger? Re-done headliner, ancient PFD’s and overhead racks gone, blue leather airline seats gone, replaced by newer red fabric ones….Called Manpot, cool, a ride from West End….exceeding hull speed as usual, the Charger starts rolling, a few green pax…the crew invited them into the pilothouse.
Cleared C&I and met Manpot outside, hugs and into De Ting for a fun ride to Cane Garden Bay, met Rose and Sky at Sunset Apartments, cold FREE Red Stripe upon arrival and off to room 3 upstairs, awesome place, very clean, full kitchen and AC in the bedroom! Ran into Hillside and Andy staying a couple doors down, very cool!
Awesome night at Elm BBQ with Mal and Candace, Elmtones were rockin’ and the ribs as good as ever!!!

Day 2
Great sleep except for the retarded Roosters that start up at 3:00 AM, coffee down and off to Rhymers for my traditional Bloody Mary and Ham and Cheese omelete!!
Limed around, hit Bobby’s for some basic supplies, breakfast at Sunset Apts. For The Admiral, hit the beach and Sailor’s Rest for lunch…great day, love that place!!!
Happy hour at Myett’s with the gang is next, whoa, Nick and Monica from Leverick joining the frey, how cool!!! Had a blast, ran into TTOL’er DWolf, he was skippering a group of 5 women…they had talked with someone down the beach, $25 Lobster dinners…let’s take a walk!! Down the beach almost to ‘de Wedding and up some stairs, greeted by a nice local couple and the plywood panels came off the bar and the music started…kinda like that beach bar scene in Capt. Ron, snaps his fingers and music starts, cold ones flowing and menu board presented, hey, this is awesome!!!
Very nicely prepared meals and the lobster was great..total bill for The Admiral and I was $65.00
LOVE this place!!! The place is called Watt a View and is run by Captain Ty that also runs sailing, fishing and snorkeling charters as well as Taxi service.

Up and coffee, breakfast at Myetts and pack up for West End, Hillside gave us a ride and we met Doug and Melissa aboard Galeaux at the Voyage docks, some cold ones at Pussers and provisioning at Harbor Market and got settled aboard Galeaux. Motored up to Cane Garden Bay and grabbed a mooring rather than anchoring as the winds have been swirling around quite a bit. A little chilling aboard then ashore for Elm BBQ and The Elmtones!!! Big group of TTOL’ers including Nick and Monica, Dirk and Sandy and crew from Catatonic, what a night!!! USAF crew Keith and Theresa found us and we got them squared away aboard Galeaux.

Let’s go sailing!!! Breakfast aboard and off to Kingfish Banks followed by Monkey Point and Marina Cay!! Winds were in the low 20’s and seas were quite lively, made for a wet ride with some bridgedeck pounding and big spray off the bows! No hits on the trolling or handline so tacked off to Monkey Point…there 8 boats on NPT moorings and the current and wind were up so did a sail by and the motored through the cut to Marina Cay. Grabbed a ball and put things away, discovered Keith and Theresa had not dogged down their hatch in the starboard forward cabin and the mattress was floating in several inches of water…nice, got everything out to dry and bailed out the bunk area.
Their electronics did not fare so well, iPhones, etc. were soaked.

GREAT happy hour with Eric Stone and great dinner of BBQ chicken and sides aboard!!!
Day 5
Anegada baby!! We motored out toward The Dogs while raising the main and continued toward Virgin Gorda to get a good line to try and lay Anegada on one tack…nice sail, got some velocity lifts along the way and tracked directly to our waypoint to the entrance. Anchored in front of the mooring field near Anegada Reef Hotel and headed into Lobster trap to make dinner reservations and get a ride to Cow Wreck. Great day at Cow Wreck, ran into Hillside and Andy, man these two get around!!!
Caught a great sunset while enjoying some boat drinks then had a wonderful dinner at Lobster Trap. The setting out on the dock was elegant, the service was phenomenally professional by any standards, the food very nicely presented and very tasty, first class all the way, other establishments should visit for dinner and see how it is supposed to be done.

Day 6
Bloody Mary’s and breakfast aboard and off to North Sound! Nice beam reach, about an hour sailing time…watched a huge ketch zooming along under two spinnakers! We pulled into slip #19 and got the boat put away, lounged by the pool all afternoon.

Happy ARRR! Reserved our favorite table up near the front and had a blast at the Beans show! Stayed put for dinner, everyone had a great time, tried the Beef Tacos for the first time, they were amazingly good!! Got to visit with Nick, Monica and several of the usual suspects at the bar, great times as always! Keith and Theresa of course closed Jumbies bar long after we had all retired.

Bloody Mary’s and breakfast aboard then off the dock and toured North Sound a bit, there were several large square riggers to check out..motored out to the start area where the mega yachts were racing, had a great time watching their starts!!! Peeled off sailing wing and wing toward The Drake, showed Doug and Melissa some barber hauling downwind techniques and caught a glimpse of some of the big yachts dropping their chutes and rounding back to weather after passing the backside of Virgin Gorda. Amazed to see two cruise ships at The Baths and another three in Road Harbor. Continued downwind to Norman Island. I was just about ready to bring the trolling lines in when ZIIING! Fish on! Reeled in a nice Balckfin Tuna!!! Picked up a mooring (whoa, $30 at The Bight)and did a bit of packing, last night aboard. Keith and Theresa did a pub crawl, Pirates then Willy T and it showed! Great dinner aboard and off to bed!

Day 9
Up early and dropped the night set, time to return to base…got the boat buttoned up, uneventful check in as always and headed over to Pussers for a few cold ones before dropping Doug and Melissa off at the ferry terminal on Voyage’s dink. Had Voyage’s safari drop us back at Sunset Apartments. Chilled at Stanleys for the afternoon and then had a great dinner at Sailor’s Rest!
Day10
Breakfast at Rhymers then Sky from Sunset Apts. ran The Admiral and I over to the WE ferry terminal for a 12:15 to CA. Very pleased we bought our tix early headed over to JR for a few cold ones as they sold out with connectors from Roadtown boarded from another ferry as well as a bus. Had a long wait at the CA C&I dock, they had closed the doors clearing another group and we sat smelling heavy diesel exhaust for a good 45 minutes. Off to the Airport, good flights home on Delta through ATL then prompt Midnight pick up with Alex and the BMW M5 for an again one hour zoom in heavy rain and 86 miles, this guy is a race driver, had no worries at all!!! Happy dogs and out like a light!!!!
So nice sailing aboard Galeaux with owners Doug and Melissa, great trip!
Galeaux was spotless and perfect as always!
