Day 12- for real... Screwed up yesterday and thought day 11 was day 12. . Lord knows I don't want to be rushing things! vacation is coming to a close soon enough . Sun rising over the hill in Little Harbour and illuminating the surrounding islands across the Drake this morning is spectacular . Serenaded by birds instead of goats and roosters is a nice change . Hubby eventually gets up and we have some bacon and eggs aboard to get some energy for a hiking day . first explore is the shore and hillside surrounding this beautiful Harbour. There is an old abandoned homestead up on the hill accessible by a nice cement path starting at the dock. Very neat and worth the trip . quick lunch and off to motor to salt. winds are very light today Have never stopped here before, so very excited . really pretty ashore, came across some grave sites from the previous inhabitants. George's grave says he died just last year. I remember reading about salt and the family who lived here awhile back on TTOL . would love to have the details again. Next stop the salt ponds behind the beach area. Neat , OK says Ward which peaks do you want to climb? I swear he was a mountain goat in a former life because each time he finds some big rocks or hills he wants to climb them! Being together for over 30 years 8 know he will lead me on an awesome adventure so I follow. climbed the middle two hills. will leave the outer peaks for a day when we have more time . spectacular views and great experience. Off next to the north sound and anchor up in our favorite spot corner of Bitter End and Biras creek just in time for another incredible sunset. . chicken BBQ aboard and chilling for the evening. tomorrow to explore all the North sound has to offer at our leisure. <img src="http://www.traveltalkonline.com/forums/images/graemlins/Grin.gif" alt="" />
