The last few days have been a continuation of our quieter than normal vacation. Tuesday spent most of the day around the LaPlage pool, and for dinner went over to Harbor Queen for dinner. Again, this place is sooooo underrated. Once again, the ribs were fabulous, the baked beans supurb, and my wife's conch cerviche was great!!! I think there were only two more tables being served. Great food for a great price. Even though a quiet day overall, the sun got the best of me, and found myself with a lot of red.
Yesterday, because both of us were a bit overcooked by the sun, we went over to Marigot to check out the spices and crafts. (this wasn't my idea, but what my better half wants, we do). Spent a couple of hours looking around, and then decided to ride over to the LOLOS for lunch. Went to Talk of the Town, (my fave place there), and even for lunch the portions are ridiculously large. had the ribs, chicken and sides, and my wife had the same. We ended up taking home at least half of the order. For twelve bucks it was more than enough, and very good as usual. I don't usually eat ribs at home, but on the island I could do them every day and be happy. I do love that every place prepares them differently, and I never get tired of them here. For dinner we did leftovers from lunch, and some left over chicken cacciatore from the other night. Quiet day overall, and so far very relaxing.
Today, was back out at the pool and beach at Laplage. Amazing that within the last week we do have a beach back again. Not a huge beach, but enough to get in and out of. Once again, the sun got to us, and in spite of using SPF 30, we both get further burnt again. Tomorrow is going to be a 50 day, since 30 aint' working for us.
Tonight ate a LaRosa 2, and it was suburb. Had the Pepper Filet, which they did serve with a steak knife, but probably could've cut it it with the butter knife. Wife had the seafood soup. Again, quiet in the restaurant, but so worth the trip!!!!! After losing a quick hundred bucks at the blackjack table, here I am writing this report. LOL Tomorrow the plans are to Orient. We'll see what happens. Can't believe we have been here almost a week already.....time is flying by. So glad we have another full two weeks to go!!!! More later.
