Yes, this is one of THOSE trip reports. Turn away now…sorry. There will be Food Porn. Don’t worry, it’s safe for work.

We did not do ½ of what we had planned to stuff into 8 days. Guess it’s because we know that we will be back at the end of October. wink

We limed and stuffed ourselves. Weather cancelled two sailing excursions. They still turned into beach days, so life is good!

Caught up with good friends, though not as many as we had wished. The weather kept us from sailing to Anguilla.

This was our fourth trip post Irma.

Delta down and back. Much more comfortable seat than AA, reliable schedule, no problems at all.

Arrival was on a Sunday and was hot standing outside with the arrival line snaking outside and then through the area inside the airport which they have opened. Oh well, we were in SXM.

Got our car from Lesley (Kenny’s Auto) and got to say hello to his wife as well, as he had 3 customers on our flight. Paperwork and off to check in! Dumped the luggage, stashed things in the safe and it was a walk to Driftwood to get our first rum punches and eat some pizza! Watching the dumba**ses hanging on the fence…..stupid is as stupid does.

Hubbies birthday dinner was at Sal e Pepe! Service was excellent. Super attentive. Cannot say enough great things about this place, and I was sad the new marina location wasn’t open yet.

Breakfast on the balcony. Having the Maho Market directly beneath us was dangerous. Their breakfast buffet has hash browns, bacon, johnny cakes! We cooked and supplemented with items from the buffet.

A day at Orient, planted our bodies at Kakao (or KKÔ). Two chairs and umbrella were $20
