To zoom in on the problem it is the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engine that some airlines hqve chosen to power the 787. It has gotten quite serious with numerous dual engine failers of the two engine 787.
The beautiful 747 has been parked infavor of 777, A350, and the 787. Evidently Rolls royce is havinga hard time mqking a reliable motore.
That is correct. Right from the beginning, there were problems with the RR Trent 1000. I believe that most of the "American" airlines that have the the 787's in their fleet use the GE GEnx-1B engines.
