We spent most of another perfect island day at Beachside Villas pool reconnecting with old friends and hopefully, making new ones as well as saying our good-byes to those leaving today. The Mascarins have really created a perfect refuge here on the island and it’s a struggle to make oneself leave when your time is up.

We had coffee and pastries here in our suite this morning, and then, the cabana boy made great sandwiches for lunch out by the pool. He gets bored and really doesn’t mind this diversion, honest!

Afternoon naps and then pina coladas in our room. Well, actually, out on our rear porch over-looking the afternoon waves and all the passing yachts. Life is truly good.

Can’t help but notice, the usual big ticket yachts aren’t here for the season yet. They should possibly arrive before we leave if things follow the norms for this time of year. We miss sitting out on the porch with our afternoon PCs and watching them swing on their anchors.

Dinner was a most pleasant comedy of errors. We were heading for Jordan Village and again, either Fat Tony’s or Bar Code for a lite meal and then a quick trip to the grocery store. Yes! I really do shop when needs demand........ but we met up with friends and plan A went right out the window. But that’s okay because Plan B was much more fun. We were able to get convenient parking at Bar Code so the choice was easy. Spent our dinner visiting with Ann Molton, who is actually staying a few doors down from us here at BSV and whom we hadn’t seen on site yet. And just as our food was served, we met up with JD and RonaLee McKnight, so once we finished our meal we joined them for drinks and conversation. I guess you could say we were twice blessed. Thank you all for being the perfect ending to our day.

Oh, and by the time we finished with all the chitchat and visiting, we totally missed out on the grocery shopping, which, as I’m sure you can guess, really broke my heart. But the downside of that is, it still has to be done. Eventually!

Back home and early to bed, wondering what tomorrow will have in store for us. And FYI, since it’s a question often asked, the streetlights through Mullet Bay are out again. Makes for a dark ride but doable............

Respectfully,

pat
