A couple of times we've anchored/moored by the stern to keep the cockpit in the shade and facing the breeze. It works great unless there's a shower, and then the whole place gets soaked! I have a friend who is a cat owner in a major charter co fleet. He says he is now doing that frequently. Gets lots of funny looks and passerby hollers of "hey captain...you know you are tied up backwards?".
