hello, we're 'owners' in the Sunsail programme which is the sister of Moorings and these days we're all part of the same family. 'Our boat' is based in Lefkas, Greece but we sail all over the place & have been as far as Thailand, French Polynesia, The Caribbean and several bases in the Med, as you say, the variety and choice of sailing vacations in the programme is fantastic. Re 'your boat' we chatted to ex & current owners before going into the programme & have concluded that it's best not to think of it as your own boat; we have a Sunsail 404 which is a Moorings 4000 and I don't know but let's say there are a 100 of those out there, we feel like shareholders of them all, we're not at all precious about people getting on ours and we love the fact that we can get on 404's wherever we go, it's a timeshare system really in our eyes/ opinion. The base crews and staff are good everywhere, the boats get looked after & maintained well so we're very happy to be in the programme. I guess 'ownership' only becomes an issue at the end of the contract when you're deciding whether to buy the boat outright, and that's a whole different conversation, you'll have 5+ years of great sailing holidays before then, get in there & enjoy it smile
